The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze
September 26 - September 29
The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is one of the tri-state area’s favorite fall spectacles. More than seven thousand hand-carved jack o’lanterns illuminate Van Court Manor’s nine sprawling acres.
In addition, the Great Jack O’Lantern blaze doubles as an elaborate land art installation. Over one thousand volunteers and artists design, scoop, carve and light the jack o’lanterns leading up to this one-of-a-kind event.
During your visit, watch the synchronized light show and listen to the events original soundtrack. Visit the Museum of Pumpkin Art to see classic paintings “given the gourd treatment”. Watch a show at the Pumpkin Planetarium. Take all the selfies at the Pumpkin Carousel, the Pumpkin Windmill, and 25-foot-tall jack o’lantern Statue of Liberty. Oh, and watch out for swooping jack o’lantern bats!
So don’t miss out on this veritable “Halloweentown” in the Historic Hudson Valley. It’s a blast! Er, a blaze!
