Kusama: Cosmic Nature at NYBG is an exclusive, garden-wide, immersive exhibition. It will include ground-breaking debuts of never-before-seen Yayoi Kusama works and will explore the artist’s lifelong engagement with nature.
Kusama: Cosmic Nature will span the Garden’s 250 acres and include several historic buildings, such as the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and the LuEsther T. Mertz Library. The sheer breadth of the exhibition simply cannot be understated.
There’s a lot to experience at Kusama: Cosmic Nature. Both new and established works reflect the relationship between the artist’s unique visual aesthetic and lifelong fascination with the natural world. You will find signature mirrored environments and organic forms, colossal polka-dotted floral sculptures, paintings, and the artist’s first-ever participatory greenhouse installation.
This incredible exhibition at New York Botanical Garen runs during Garden hours from May 9th through November 1st. Tickets go on sale January 29th. To guarantee access to installations in the Mertz Library Building, visitors must queue at least two hours before Garden closing.
