Ushering in the Year of the Rabbit, Chinatown will hold its annual Firecracker Ceremony at Sara D. Roosevelt Park. The celebration usually takes place on the actual Lunar New Year, while the larger NYC Lunar New Year Parade will follow a few weeks later on February 12, 2023. The Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival will feature firecrackers, fireworks and lion dancers. The event is FREE to attend.
