Ushering in the Year of the Dragon, New York City’s Chinatown will hold its annual Firecracker Ceremony at Sara D. Roosevelt Park. The Firecracker Ceremony and Cultural Festival will feature firecrackers, fireworks and lion dancers.

The Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, is a free annual event that takes place in New York City's East Village at the Tompkins Square Dog Run. Dogs and their owners don elaborate Halloween costumes, join a parade, and compete for "Best in Show." While official contestants are in the spotlight, the event draws large crowds of spectators eager to appreciate the creativity and cuteness of the costumed canines.

Held at Forsyth Plaza, the iconic gateway of the Manhattan Bridge, The Chinatown Night Market is back this summer for its third year. The open-air cultural festival showcases the incredible diversity of Chinatown, with an intoxicating array of food, art, and music. It’s a perfect way to sample the very best the neighborhood has to offer in a fun and lively setting, while supporting local small businesses.

The Egg Rolls, Egg Creams, and Empanadas Festival is a lively annual street festival sponsored by the Museum of Eldridge Street, which showcases the music, dance, cultural practices, and diverse cuisines of the Lower East Side and Chinatown.

The Bushwick Collective Block party is an annual art event in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Combining graffiti, street art, music, food trucks and local vendors, the Collective brings together the best of the community in a fun, raucous party that kicks off the summer season.

The NYC Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival is one of our favorite annual events. Crowds dressed in unique ensembles and headwear descend on 5th Avenue, happily showing off their creative outfits and posing for photographs. We’re all Mad Hatters here!

For the first time in 3 years, the New York Public Library is bringing back its popular Library After Hours event. The themed happy hour will celebrate Women’s History Month and feature music, snacks and drinks, performances, and of course, books!
