Poster House in Chelsea, the first and only museum in the United States dedicated to the art and history of the poster

Smithsonian Magazine sponsors Museum Day annually to promote education and celebrate curiosity at every age. Participating museums and cultural institutions all across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket, which must be obtained in advance.

To get your free Museum Day ticket, pick a destination from the list of participating museums and institutions, which can be narrowed down by zip, state or city. Then click on “Get a Ticket” and enter your name and email address. You are only entitled to one ticket per email address, but each ticket provides general admission for ticket holder plus one guest. The ticket is only valid for Museum Day on September 17, 2022 unless otherwise specified.
